गर्क १ is a 2018 Indian Hindi movie directed by Vishal Dadlani. It is an adaptation of the 1987 1986 Bollywood film Agar Tum Saath Ho, with the latter being directed by Mahesh Bhatt. The film stars Ishaan Khatter, Dia Mirza, Pulkit Samrat and Antara Mitra in lead roles. The movie was released to mixed reviews from critics but it managed to do average business at the box-office. Crowd funding website Indiegogo have released their first campaign for 2018 which looks upwards of an exciting 45% growth in independent filmmakers creating campaigns on the platform this year so far. In 2017, the crowdfunding platform raised a total of $5.6 million from 788 crowd funding campaigns across 48 countries. Antara Mitra, Pulkit Samrat and Ishaan Khatter have been selected for the prestigious Giffoni International Film Festival 2018 in Italy. The three will attend the festival which will take place from 3rd – 8th July. The festival honours a particular child who is a film buff and shares their passion to promote films made for children between 5 – 12 years of age. The film which is going to represent India at the festival is titled "Shehri". This film won the "Best Feature" award at the 2018 New York Indian Film Festival.The music was composed by Vishal Dadlani while lyrics were written by Vishal Dadlani, Kumaar, Anvita Dutt Guptan and Manoj Muntashir. Songs from this soundtrack were released on 4 June 2018 by T-Series. The soundtrack consists of 4 tracks, with a total duration of 25 minutes and 8 seconds. The songs are sung by Vishal Dadlani, Kumaar, Ashwini Sardesai and Sahil Vaid. The film's music rights were acquired by T-Series. The movie has received mixed reviews, with the critics praising the performances of Ishaan Khatter and his chemistry with Dia Mirza but criticizing little to nothing about the script and the overall look of the movie. "Indiatoday. in" wrote ""Agra Ka Daabra" takes its viewers deep into the plot of the movie which makes it compelling enough. But the screenplay leaves much to be desired, especially in terms of plot which seems rushed and is confusing at places." On the performance front, "TimesNow" praised Khatter's acting but criticized it for not being consistent throughout.
